How Can Change Gmail Account in Android Phone?

Gone are the days when mail accounts used to be only used for official communication and business purpose. Now a day, with the plethora of online portals that users tend to use, they invariably link their primary mail account to all these online commercial portals such as online banking, online commerce, and online education and so on. This helps them to have a single platform for all these transactions so that they can track and manage better.

In lieu of this, users also wish to have access to their mail accounts on the move, and more importantly have access to its content even in an offline mode. This is where mobile apps come into play which allows users to access their mail content even on the go, wherein they can also access the loaded content even without being connected to the network.

However, there are certain requisites and best practices which need to be taken care of, while executing the mail applications on mobile platforms such as Android or IOS. All of these requisites and extensively explained and illustrated in the Gmail Customer Support online support blogs and portals hosted online.

First and foremost, users have to select the app basis the mobile platform they are using i.e. the operating system and the version so that they are in synch with each other. Once they have installed and configured their Gmail app on their mobile, they need to login to their account by entering the user name and password. The login information would be saved, and users need not re-enter it from the next login onwards.

Now, in order to change Gmail account settings in their mobile, users need to expand the left pane of the app as visible in the screen, and then click on the ‘Settings’ tab. Users can then change any of the general settings, or settings particular to a Gmail account as well as add or remove accounts from the app. The general settings would apply to all the Gmail accounts configured in the app.

Now, there may be cases when the changes in settings may remain restricted to the mobile only i.e. it may not be visible on other platforms. In such cases, users need to change the settings of protocol from POP3 to IMAP so that all changes get saved to the Gmail server, and are reflected in all systems. Users can any time connect to the Gmail customer service team seeking for guidance on any of the technical aspects regarding their Gmail account.
